In addition, an Indian pavilion is currently being formed and participation announcement is imminent. These group pavilions feature a very large range of products for the industry and which reflects each country’s unique culture, expertise and technology specialization.
Along with returning group pavilions, this year’s event sees the addition of the new Danish pavilion. Commenting on their inaugural participation at ProPak Vietnam 2017, Ms. Nanna Bøgesvang Olesen, Consultant at Dansk Industri, Danish Pavilion shared: “This year for the first time, we have a Danish Pavilion at ProPak Vietnam with 8 companies known for their smart technology and high quality. We find Vietnam to be a very interesting market with a growing food sector. ProPak Vietnam is the perfect platform for the Danish companies to exhibit - both as an entrance to the market and for the ones already present in Vietnam.”
The Italian pavilion, led by the Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association (UCIMA) and Italian Trade Agency (ITA), has also confirmed their return, with their best-of-breed products and end-to-end packaging solutions dedicated to helping boost the country’s industrial capabilities.
Speaking on this continuous participation over the years, Mr. Gian Paolo Crasta, Marketing & Communication Manager at UCIMA said: “ProPak Vietnam is becoming year after year a milestone in our international promotion and one of the best platforms in Asia for Italian companies to present their technological innovation to the buyers of the region. We established with this show a win-win cooperation as the tradeshow will benefit from the presence of the Italian companies, given the leadership of the Italian packaging industry worldwide.”
The Germany pavilion is another prominent group pavilion whose continued support and endorsement has contributed to the growth of the show. Joining ProPak Vietnam 2017, Germany pavilion under the auspices of the VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association will feature 16 high quality exhibitors showcasing their expertise to a growing industry base in Vietnam.
Ms. Vera Fritsche - VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association, Frankfurt (Germany) expressed her thoughts on ProPak Vietnam, echoing the views of many international exhibitors: “Vietnam is for the German food processing and packaging machinery manufacturer - a market with good potential. The increasing demand for food stuff, processed food and beverages and packaging, the rising number of super- and hypermarkets as well as the development of new products and increasing hygienic requirements lead to a rising demand of state-of-the-art machinery. This is reflected in the continuously rising import figures for food processing and packaging machinery. In Germany is one of the most important sales partner for food processing and packaging machinery, just behind China.”
“ProPak Vietnam is the most important platform for the German companies. The German Federal Ministry of for Economic Affairs and Energy is supporting a German group participation, giving more than 16 companies the opportunity to present their excellent products, services and solutions to the Vietnamese food, beverage and pharmaceutical industry,” she added.
Learn ProPak Vietnam’s Educational Seminars
Complementing the technology exhibition is a slew of conference tracks offered at no charge (free) to qualified delegates which provides valuable insights into important industry topics:
Seminar “Water quality and management for food processing - Case study on process water for beer brewing” - hosted by Lean Six Sigma Network
Water quality and food safety are inextricably linked. It plays a vital role in primary production (irrigation, livestock watering, aquaculture) and in processing (as an ingredient, transport medium and hygiene aid). However, freshwater resources are becoming increasingly scarce, putting more pressure on the food industry to address the future trends relating to this resource and to move towards increasing efficiency in water use.
The seminar hosted by Lean Six Sigma Network converges a mix of international experts and industry leaders to share their knowledge and experiences in all aspects of the water used in the food processing industry in Vietnam. A case study on processing water for beer brewing is also presented, concerning the importance of water quality in brewing, where it is the main component in a short list of ingredients.
“ASEAN Food Conference 2017” pre-conference and seminar program - hosted by Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFoST)
Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFoST) will be organizing an “ASEAN Food Conference” pre-conference and seminar program at ProPak Vietnam 2017, which is indeed relevant and timely in light of the ongoing preparation toward regional economic integration.
Supported by Federation of International Food Science and Technology Associations (FIFSTA) and International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFOST), the program will be a one day symposium geared towards food safety education and training, where several international experts and technologists invited to discuss the pertinent topics with an emphasis on healthy food and drink, and traditional rice products – on aspects of safety, quality and commercial production.
This year, to enhance exhibitor participation, the organizing team is also putting together a new program titled – ‘The Propak Technical Sessions’ where exhibitors are encouraged to present their products and services to the industry gracing the exhibition floor. Speaking slots at the Propak Technical Sessions has been fully subscribed at the time of writing.
